What happened: Bresee left Wednesday's camp practice with a knee injury and is undergoing further evaluation. Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported the initial concern is a torn ACL.

Why it matters: New Orleans exercised Bresee's fifth-year option in April, placing him under contract through 2027. A season-long absence would push Vernon Broughton and Christen Miller toward larger roles while improving Zxavian Harris' roster opportunity.

By the numbers: Bresee has 14.5 sacks, 86 tackles and 19 tackles for loss across 49 NFL games. He missed only two games over his first three seasons, both after a knee injury late in 2025.

What to watch: Test results will determine whether Bresee's season is over. The Saints' distribution of interior-line practice reps will show their initial replacement plan.
