What happened: Samuel Girard had family and supporters in attendance for the Pittsburgh Penguins road game. Girard is healthy for the return matchup against his former team after missing a prior trip due to injury.

Why it matters: Girard's availability stabilizes the blue line alongside Sidney Crosby and the veteran core during an early road swing.

What to watch: Pittsburgh's next matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights is scheduled at 0-0.
