What happened: Cam Schlittler told MLB Network he respects manager Aaron Boone, saying Boone "puts his players first" and has helped him early in his career. The comments came in a sponsored MLB Network segment with Corona.

Why it matters: The praise comes during a breakout season that has already produced Schlittler's first All-Star selection, with Boone as his manager throughout. The Yankees enter the weekend on a one-game losing streak after taking four of their last five.

What to watch: Schlittler and the Yankees host the Dodgers this weekend, currently scheduled and scoreless.
