What happened: Seattle coach Mike Macdonald ruled out linebacker Drake Thomas for Thursday's 5:15 p.m. game in Denver with an ankle injury sustained against San Francisco. Macdonald also ruled out running back Zach Charbonnet and linebacker Chazz Surratt. Fourth-round pick Tyrice Knight is in line to start in Thomas's place.

Why it matters: Thomas started alongside Ernest Jones IV after posting 96 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception in 17 games in 2025. Knight has one tackle in 2026 after limited defensive snaps across three seasons. Seattle heads to Denver on a short week trying to rebound from the loss to San Francisco.

What to watch: Kickoff in Denver is Thursday at 5:15 p.m. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Charbonnet has a legitimate chance to return in Week 7.
