What happened: Tory Horton is also questionable with a hamstring injury after limited work throughout the week. New England ruled out Ben Brown and TreVeyon Henderson for Wednesday's opener.

Why it matters: Emmanwori opened camp on the PUP list after July ankle surgery, adding uncertainty to a safety room already thinned by Bud Clark's season-ending injury. Seattle may need to elevate one or more safeties from the practice squad.

By the numbers: Seattle carries three safeties on its active roster and four on its practice squad. Okada and Emmanwori occupy two of the three active-roster spots.

What to watch: Seattle's official inactives are due at 3:50 p.m. PT Wednesday, clarifying whether Emmanwori and Horton can dress.
