What happened: The tally put New York ahead 1-0 in Friday's live preseason game at Detroit. Durzi arrived in New York this summer after calling the trade a "surprise" in July.

Why it matters: New York has spent the preseason working new pieces into a reshaped roster. Getting an immediate goal from a new addition is an early positive as roles and combinations keep taking shape.

What to watch: Watch whether Detroit can answer and whether Durzi factors again as the game continues.
