What happened: San Jose concluded its pregame preparations with a locker-room soccer session before facing Los Angeles. Players issued mock yellow cards during the customary two-touch warmup contest.

Why it matters: Pregame soccer remains a traditional staple across NHL dressing rooms to build focus and foot coordination before taking the ice. The lighthearted session preceded a divisional matchup against the Kings as both clubs navigate the early November schedule.

What to watch: The Sharks and Kings square off at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles.
