What happened: Kalani Sitake praised LJ Martin after the BYU running back delivered 176 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Sitake called it an honor to coach Martin as BYU's ground game ran through its lead back.

Why it matters: A rushing line like that puts Martin at the center of BYU's offense as the regular season moves forward. Sitake's public endorsement also reinforces Martin's standing as a primary engine for the unit, not just a hot hand for one night.

What to watch: Watch Martin's carry share and touchdown volume in BYU's next game to see whether this workload holds. Opponents' run-heavy adjustments will be the next clue to how much attention this performance draws.
