What happened: Arne Slot publicly answered Mohamed Salah's recent remarks about standards at Liverpool, saying standards are not only set in the gym but also on the pitch. The response, circulated Saturday via Fabrizio Romano, was a pointed follow-up to Salah's concern that the club must keep its daily standards high after his expected exit at season's end.

Why it matters: The exchange matters because it keeps Liverpool's internal tension in the spotlight during a critical finish to the Premier League season. Liverpool entered the weekend fourth and still fighting to secure Champions League football, while Slot is facing growing scrutiny over results and dressing-room mood.

What to watch: Watch Liverpool's match with Chelsea and whether Salah is fit enough to feature before the season closes. The next public comments from Slot or Salah will also show whether this remains a media flare-up or a deeper end-of-season issue.
