What happened: Dominik Szoboszlai publicly backed Arne Slot, telling reporters via Fabrizio Romano that the Dutchman remains Liverpool's manager and retains the dressing room's full support. The midfielder pointed to last season's Premier League title under Slot as evidence the squad has not wavered. He dismissed external speculation about Slot's future as outside noise.

Why it matters: The endorsement matters because Slot has faced mounting scrutiny in his second season, including recent VAR frustration after a defeat and ongoing questions about Liverpool's form. A senior player's on-record vote of confidence helps stabilize the narrative heading into the final three matchweeks. It also pushes back on rumour-driven coverage suggesting internal doubt at Anfield.

What to watch: Watch how Liverpool finish the remaining three Premier League matchweeks and whether the club issues its own public statement on Slot's status. Further player quotes or board commentary in the coming days will signal whether this is a coordinated pushback.
