What happened: Sportsnet's Justin Bourne ranked Toronto Maple Leafs players by how costly each one's loss would be. The ranking follows injuries that have begun to affect the club's place in the standings.

Why it matters: Toronto's depth is being tested early in the 2026-27 regular season, and the exercise weighs which absence would hurt most.

What to watch: The Maple Leafs host the Devils on Sunday in the Hall of Fame game at 6:30 p.m. ET.
