What happened: Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II voiced firm support for Bo Nix, stating there is no other quarterback he would rather go to bat for. Surtain delivered the endorsement during an interview on Tuesday. Nix, selected 12th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, has started every game under center in his second professional season.

Why it matters: The vocal backing from Denver's top defensive leader underscores internal stability as the franchise contends in the AFC playoff race. Denver sits at 6-2 on a four-game winning streak following a 28-24 win over Kansas City. Nix's efficiency has anchored the offense through the first half of the regular season.

What to watch: Denver looks to protect its position near the top of the conference as the regular season schedule continues.
