What happened: MLS named Gonzalo Tapia to the Team of the Matchday Starting XI for Matchday 31. Patrick Schulte earned a bench spot, and Laurent Courtois was named Coach of the Week.

Why it matters: The honors cap a rivalry-week performance keyed by Tapia's goal and assist in the Hell is Real derby. Recognition across starter, goalkeeper and coach spreads credit beyond a single performance.

What to watch: Attention turns to the Open Cup tie on October 21.
