What happened: Speaking on The Matt Barrie Show on the one-year anniversary of Brian Kelly's dismissal at LSU, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum said the SiriusXM radio analyst 'cannot do anything right' and is looking for 'off-brand jobs to land.' Finebaum pushed back after Kelly held Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian responsible for quarterback Arch Manning's struggles during the 2026 season.

Why it matters: Finebaum's criticism of Kelly follows his own remarks prior to Texas' win over Ole Miss last week, when Finebaum questioned whether Manning should remain the starter and blamed Sarkisian for every aspect of the quarterback's play. Earlier this month on the same program, Finebaum criticized LSU for firing Kelly, despite stating in July that conducting weekly 20-minute Monday interviews with Kelly over three seasons was painful.

What to watch: Texas continues its regular-season push for a College Football Playoff spot under Sarkisian and Manning, while Kelly remains in broadcasting one year removed from the LSU sideline.
