What happened: CBS Sports backed Browns head coach Todd Monken for NFL Coach of the Year on Wednesday, warning the league to "look out for the Browns.

Why it matters: The strong start following Sunday's 27-24 road victory has positioned Cleveland as a buyer ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline. Front-office plans now focus on adding edge and tight end depth for the second half of the regular season.

By the numbers: Cleveland Browns (2026 regular season): 5-2 record, No. 3 seed, W2 streak, 27-24 win on Oct. 25.

What to watch: Cleveland has until the Nov. 10 trade deadline to execute roster additions at edge rusher and tight end.
