What happened: Wearing No. 0 in his seventh NBA season, Tyrese Haliburton dished a no-look interior pass to set up Ivica Zubac for a slam down low on Friday night. The play followed Haliburton's pregame address to the home crowd ahead of the 7 p.m. ET tipoff.

Why it matters: The two-man action carries regular-season weight after Haliburton connected with Zubac on a drive and dish during the preseason opener on Oct. 4. Both players entered the 2026-27 campaign ranked on the ESPN Top 100 list as primary half-court focal points.

By the numbers: Haliburton and Zubac combined for 37 points in a single preseason half on Oct. 14, followed by a 17-point preseason half from Haliburton on Oct. 17.

What to watch: Haliburton and Zubac continue Friday's regular-season opener on NBA League Pass as the 2026-27 schedule gets underway.
