What happened: "Don't be annoying. Don't be old," Tyrese Maxey advised when asked for his keys to calling games. The guard, who also detailed his acting cameo on The Association on Wednesday, has been a regular presence across league media early in the 2026-27 regular season.

Why it matters: Maxey's growing national profile follows his All-NBA Third Team selection in June and the Eastern Conference's first Player of the Week honor to open the campaign. Broadcast partners have leaned into player-driven segments as NBA on Prime builds on year-over-year viewership gains across its opening doubleheader and NBA Nightcap studio show.

What to watch: Maxey takes the floor for Wednesday night's national broadcast looking to extend his early-season two-way surge.
