What happened: MMAjunkie reported that Costello van Steenis is out of PFL Austin and an interim title fight has been booked. The change removes the planned middleweight title rematch from the July 18 card in Austin.

Why it matters: The withdrawal changes the top of PFL's middleweight picture after Van Steenis-Eblen was set as the PFL Austin rematch. An interim belt keeps title stakes on the card while the promotion waits for clarity on Van Steenis' return timeline.

What to watch: Watch for PFL to confirm the interim title pairing and the reason for Van Steenis' withdrawal. The next key question is whether the interim winner is immediately lined up for a unification bout.
