What happened: NFL reporter Ed Werder characterized the Cleveland Browns' move away from Baker Mayfield as one of the worst franchise decisions ever made at the quarterback position. Werder responded to a reminder from Adam Schefter regarding Mayfield's ongoing statistical supremacy in Cleveland's modern era.

Why it matters: The critique arrives as Mayfield and current Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson prepare to meet Sunday in Tampa for the first time since the consequential trade. The matchup provides a direct on-field comparison between Cleveland's past and present quarterback choices.

What to watch: Mayfield will face his former team on Sunday when Cleveland travels to play Tampa Bay.
