What happened: A social-media argument around Cowboys coverage turned snide when Ed Werder told one critic that the team's cheerleaders "have their own account." The exchange followed broader complaints that Dallas media voices were not acting as cheerleaders for the team.

Why it matters: The flare-up comes just days after Dallas opened 0-1 with a 28-20 loss to the Giants, which has tightened the spotlight around the club and everyone covering it. Fan-media friction does not change the roster or the standings, but it can add noise around a team already facing early-season pressure.

What to watch: The next thing to watch is whether the conversation cools once Dallas gets back on the field, or keeps bleeding into the team's Week 2 coverage.
