What happened: ESPN is promoting Game 2 of the Wild-Avalanche first-round playoff series, scheduled for tonight at 8 PM ET on ESPN and the ESPN App. The matchup follows a high-scoring Game 1 in which Colorado outlasted Minnesota in a 15-goal shootout to take a 1-0 series lead.

Why it matters: Game 2 carries heavy series implications: a Colorado win would push Minnesota to the brink with the series shifting later in the round, while a Wild road win would even things up and reset home-ice advantage. After Game 1's offensive explosion, both clubs face questions about goaltending, defensive structure, and whether the pace can hold for a second straight night.

What to watch: Watch for Minnesota's defensive adjustments and whether either head coach changes goaltenders after Game 1's offensive flood. Puck drop is 8 PM ET on ESPN.
