What happened: During an extra-inning battle, a full-count pitch initially called a strike was challenged by the Yankees. The Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) system overturned the call to ball four, loading the bases and shifting the momentum in a tied 10th inning.

Why it matters: The challenge proved to be a turning point, allowing New York to capitalize on the situation and secure a 7-5 victory over Cleveland. This pivotal moment underscores the high-leverage impact of the ABS challenge system in deciding late-inning outcomes during the 2026 season.

What to watch: New York looks to carry the momentum into the remainder of the series.
