What happened: The New York Yankees postponed their scheduled game for tonight. The team will instead play two games tomorrow. The first matchup begins at 1 p.m., followed by the second game at 7 p.m.

Why it matters: The condensed schedule requires the Yankees to manage their pitching depth across two games in one day. New York recently navigated a similar weather-related postponement. This tests the roster ahead of the upcoming August 3 deadline.

By the numbers: New York stands at 50-41 on the season and carries a two-game winning streak. The Yankees are scoring 4.7 runs per game while allowing 3.9 runs.

What to watch: The team will prepare its rotation for the back-to-back games. The doubleheader begins tomorrow afternoon.
