What happened: Play remains in progress late in the second quarter. Angel Reese has 12 points and 6 rebounds alongside the game-high pace.

Why it matters: A level 35-35 line keeps second-half initiative open for either side. The paired 12-point outputs from Pauline Astier and Reese frame the scoring duel.

By the numbers: Tied 35-35. Pauline Astier: 12 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST for game high; Angel Reese: 12 PTS, 6 REB; Jonquel Jones: 10 PTS, 9 REB, 1 AST.

What to watch: Next is whether Jones finds one more rebound for a double-double and which side creates separation after halftime.
