What happened: Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams offered sideline pointers to current USC passer Jayden Maiava during Saturday's Big Ten broadcast on NBC and Peacock. The visit took place with Chicago holding a 5-2 record in the 2026 regular season.

Why it matters: Despite landing 13th in PFF's 2026 quarterback rankings behind Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels, Williams has the production of a top-10 NFL starter. Over 17 games in 2025 with the Bears, he completed 330 of 568 passes for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns with only 7 interceptions.
