What happened: Collins cleared his physical in August 2026 after opening camp on the active/PUP list in July and has anchored Cleveland's interior defensive front this regular season. Ahead of Sunday's scheduled 0-0 game, the franchise moved to keep the veteran defensive tackle under contract.

Why it matters: Locking in proven interior disruption is a sound roster move for a defender who was backed as an underrated interior defensive tackle earlier this week. Per ESPN, Collins made 25 tackles with 6.5 sacks in 12 games in 2025 with the Browns (as of 2026-09-29), giving the defense reliable pocket push.
