What happened: Nix finished Week 7 with 222 passing yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He added 74 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, the most rushing yards by a Bronco this season.

Why it matters: The downfield volume marks a shift for Bo Nix, the 12th overall pick in 2024 out of Oregon. He entered 2026 after throwing for 3,931 yards with 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions across 17 games in 2025.

By the numbers: Week 7 average depth of target: Nix 11.3, Jordan Love 11.1, J.J. McCarthy 10.2, Drake Maye 9.5. Nix Week 7: 222 passing yards, 74 rushing yards, 2 total touchdowns, 0 interceptions.

What to watch: Watch whether Denver keeps the downfield rate into Week 8. The rushing production bears watching as a weekly supplement.
