What happened: Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie has signed a new contract extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2029. The deal ensures the Scottish international remains a central figure at the Vitality Stadium following a campaign of consistent performance in the Cherries' engine room.

Why it matters: The extension follows Bournemouth's historic 2025-26 season where the club finished 6th in the Premier League to secure European football. Retaining experienced leaders is a priority as the Cherries solidify their core, coming just days after a similar contract offer to Alex Scott.

What to watch: Bournemouth will now turn its focus to the summer transfer window to add depth ahead of their inaugural UEFA Europa League campaign.
