What happened: Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche, with terms settled between the clubs and the player's side. The move is worth a €25m fixed fee plus €5m in add-ons.

Why it matters: The signing marks a significant outlay on a forward as Bournemouth reshape their attack ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. Real Madrid stand to benefit as well, collecting €12.5m through a sell-on clause on a player who moved on from the Bernabeu.

What to watch: Watch for the clubs to confirm the transfer officially and for Rodriguez to complete a medical before signing terms.
