What happened: Brandon Lowe earned recognition as a 2026 Gold Glove Award finalist for his work at second base.

Why it matters: The defensive nod caps a sharp year-over-year turnaround in the field alongside his middle-of-the-order offensive production. The finalist selection adds leverage ahead of a pending offseason decision on his roster future once the World Series concludes.

By the numbers: Lowe finished the 2026 campaign with 35 home runs and 96 RBIs.

What to watch: Official 2026 Gold Glove winners at each position will be announced before free agency opens after the World Series.
