What happened: Jonathan Aranda extended the Tampa Bay Rays' lead to 4-1 in the seventh inning of ALCS Game 4. The surge built on Junior Caminero putting Tampa Bay ahead 2-1 in the sixth after Aranda's earlier two-out hit brought home Yandy Diaz to tie the score at 1-1.

Why it matters: The series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cleveland Guardians is tied 1-1. Aranda has delivered timely postseason offense after launching a home run in the ALDS opener.

By the numbers: Tampa Bay holds a 98-65 season record, averaging 4.6 runs scored and 4.0 allowed per game compared to Cleveland's 87-76 mark (4.3 scored, 4.1 allowed). The previous two October matchups finished 3-1 in Tampa Bay on Oct. 13 and 3-2 in Cleveland on Oct. 15.

What to watch: Tampa Bay works to hold its three-run cushion through the late innings of Game 4.
