What happened: Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed confidence in Quinnen Williams' transition into Christian Parker's defensive scheme. Schottenheimer acknowledged the unit has not played well enough overall to start the season. He noted the defensive tackle is aware he is receiving single coverage from opponents.

Why it matters: The Cowboys' front is facing early pressure after struggling against the run in their opening victory. Williams serves as the primary anchor for the pass rush, carrying added responsibility during Charles Snowden's ongoing suspension. Parker's system relies on interior disruption, making those single-coverage matchups critical for defensive success.

What to watch: The Cowboys defensive line aims to correct their early execution issues. The unit must find ways to capitalize on the blocking schemes Williams is drawing inside.
