What happened: The Dallas Cowboys elevated wide receiver Jordan Hudson and tight end James Mitchell from the practice squad on Saturday. The transactions provide offensive depth with George Pickens managing a hamstring injury and Jake Ferguson nursing an ankle issue. Both starters are officially designated as questionable for Sunday's game at Indianapolis.

Why it matters: Dallas enters the weekend at 3-5 following a 33-30 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 1. Losing either starting pass catcher would test depth across an offense that relies heavily on Pickens downfield. Hudson and Mitchell provide immediate insurance if either starter is sidelined.

By the numbers: Pickens has caught 39 passes for 533 yards and two touchdowns in 2026 through eight games. Ferguson has recorded 17 receptions for 115 yards and three touchdowns over the same stretch.

What to watch: Official inactive lists will be released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's kickoff against the Colts. Those designations will determine whether Hudson and Mitchell are active for game action.
