What happened: Brittney Sykes opened the scoring for the Toronto Tempo with a driving layup in their Commissioner's Cup matchup against the Indiana Fever. The game marks a critical mid-season tournament test for the expansion Toronto franchise as they visit Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the first time.

Why it matters: The contest carries significant weight for the Eastern Conference standings, with Indiana entering the night at 4-1 in Cup play. Toronto is looking to snap a two-game slide while missing key contributors Nyara Sabally and Isabelle Harrison, placing a heavy offensive burden on Sykes who leads the team with 20.7 points per game.

What to watch: Toronto will look to maintain offensive efficiency despite a shorthanded rotation, while Indiana aims to extend their three-game winning streak.
