What happened: Cleveland elevated the second-year running back to the 53-man roster Saturday after he was designated for return on Oct. 14 from a knee injury. Sampson remains listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, though offensive coordinator Travis Switzer stated Friday that he is expected to play.

Why it matters: The move restores a quick-game option to Cleveland's backfield as the 2025 fourth-round pick out of Tennessee returns to his collegiate state, while losing Jenkins thins the interior offensive line rotation. The Browns enter the matchup holding the No. 4 seed after edging the Baltimore Ravens 13-10 on Oct. 18.

By the numbers: Cleveland carries a 4-2 record and a one-game winning streak into Sunday while averaging 3.6 yards per carry under Todd Monken. Sampson missed five games after going on injured reserve Sept. 15.

What to watch: The Browns will confirm Sampson's active status when pregame inactives are announced 90 minutes before Sunday's kickoff in Tennessee.
