What happened: Dylan Larkin's approved trade list remains at 10 teams, per TSN's Darren Dreger, and Boston is not on it. The list: Panthers, Wild, Golden Knights, Hurricanes, Avalanche, Stars, Devils, Lightning, Mammoth and Capitals. Larkin played 10 of Detroit's first 16 games and is sitting out until a move happens.

Why it matters: The Bruins are 11-4-1, first in the Atlantic and second in the East, with a No. 1 center and a top-four defenseman as their biggest needs. Detroit has both in Larkin and restricted free agent Simon Edvinsson, and has fielded offers for Edvinsson. Dreger said Boston would love to land Edvinsson, probably more than Larkin, and that Detroit's director of pro scouting Kris Draper attended the Bruins-Golden Knights game.

By the numbers: Edvinsson projects to a long-term deal in the $9 million range, above Brandt Clarke and Simon Nemec, per Dreger. Dreger tied San Jose to Edvinsson with Michael Misa as a possible piece.

What to watch: Larkin could add or remove teams from his list, per Elliotte Friedman, and Dreger said Boston and Montreal both want on it. Edvinsson must be signed by Dec. 1 to play this season.
