What happened: Jalen Brunson created space off the dribble to convert a contested jumper on an isolation sequence. The basket finished a half-court possession against tight perimeter coverage.

Why it matters: The score came during tournament action on the opening night of the NBA Cup group stage. Shot creation in isolation remains a central facet of the half-court offense in half-court sets.

What to watch: Tournament group play continues through November as the early regular-season schedule unfolds.
