What happened: Milwaukee placed forwards Pete Nance and Johni Broome along with center Jake Stephens on waivers Saturday during the 2026-27 preseason. Nance had joined the club via a July 9 signing, while Broome cleared waivers in late September after his release by the Clippers.

Why it matters: The trio of departures clears camp spots as the front office works toward Monday's regular-season roster deadline. All three players become eligible to join the Wisconsin Herd in the G League if they go unclaimed.

What to watch: Opposing teams have 48 hours to submit waiver claims before the three big men become unrestricted free agents prior to the Oct. 23 home opener.
