What happened: The unnecessary roughness penalty called on Cam Skattebo during Sunday's overtime win drew pushback on NFL on CBS's Set Hut segment, which questioned the call with the assessment, "I don't know if that was a penalty, in my opinion." Skattebo had already rebounded from an earlier benching in that matchup to power in a physical rushing touchdown before setting up the game-winning score in overtime.

Why it matters: Skattebo's downhill physicality has become central to New York's ground attack during a 4-2-1 start that puts the club third in the seed order. Maintaining that aggressive style without drawing further 15-yard penalties preserves the rhythm of an offense leaning heavily on the second-year back out of Arizona State.

By the numbers: Skattebo led all qualifying Week 7 backs in yards per carry (minimum 10 attempts), forced 8 missed tackles, and broke a 42-yard overtime run in the 27-21 win over the Houston Texans on Oct. 25.

What to watch: New York enters its Week 8 bye while Skattebo rests a tweaked hamstring that has him listed as questionable, though he said the leg is OK.
