What happened: Marc Denis joined TSN 690 to evaluate the Montreal Canadiens. The panel discussed how the team is managing an injury to goaltender Sam Montembeault. The conversation also covered Jakub Dobes' performance through three starts.

Why it matters: Montembeault's injury has immediately tested Montreal's goaltending depth, elevating Dobes' workload. Denis also addressed the play of Juraj Slafkovsky, noting the forward has not looked his best to begin the schedule.

What to watch: Montreal will monitor Montembeault's status and Slafkovsky's performance as the preseason progresses.
