What happened: Álvaro Carreras released an official statement addressing recent insinuations and comments about him that he says do not correspond to reality. The defender reaffirmed his commitment to the club and his coaches, calling it unwavering since day one. The statement was published via Fabrizio Romano.

Why it matters: Public statements from players denying internal friction typically surface when transfer-window speculation or dressing-room reports gain traction. For a high-profile defender, a direct denial is an attempt to control the narrative ahead of a summer window and reassure the coaching staff. The framing — commitment, professionalism, internal resolution — suggests a specific report Carreras is trying to neutralize.

What to watch: Watch for follow-up reporting identifying the specific insinuations Carreras is denying and any club-side response. Transfer-window activity around the player will be the clearest signal of whether the statement holds.
