What happened: Analysts Josh Pate and the Bussin' With The Boys crew evaluated Notre Dame's standing following the initial College Football Playoff rankings release. Discussion centered on whether the committee accurately positioned the program in the expanded postseason field.

Why it matters: With the 12-team playoff structure in place, positioning on the bubble dictates first-round hosting rights and at-large access. A separate studio group previously backed Notre Dame for a playoff berth during October evaluations.

What to watch: The selection committee releases its updated rankings on Tuesday following weekend results across the national slate.
