What happened: Columbus Crew players Patrick Schulte, Sean Zawadzki, and Stas Lapkes visited Muirfield Village Golf Club on Sunday for the final round of the 2026 Memorial Tournament. The local stars were on hand to witness J.T. Poston secure a playoff victory over Ryan Gerard during the tournament's 'Marathon Sunday' conclusion.

Why it matters: The appearance comes during a unique mid-season hiatus for MLS, as the league has paused regular-season play to accommodate the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. With the Crew currently 10th in the Eastern Conference (4-7-4), the break provides a window for community engagement and rest before league play resumes in July.

What to watch: The Columbus Crew first team will remain out of competitive action until a July 12 friendly, while MLS regular season matches are set to return in late July following the World Cup.
