What happened: Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 100th Saudi Pro League goal, pushing his career total to 971, per Fabrizio Romano. The milestone came during Al-Nassr's ongoing 2025-26 campaign in Riyadh. Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in late 2022 and has remained the league's most prolific scorer since.

Why it matters: The mark cements Ronaldo as the SPL's defining figure and keeps him on track for the symbolic 1,000-goal career milestone he has publicly targeted. Reaching 100 league goals at age 41 underscores why Saudi clubs continue to bet on aging European stars to drive league credibility. It also intensifies the long-running GOAT debate against Lionel Messi, who recently reached 900 career goals for Inter Miami.

What to watch: Watch Ronaldo's pace toward 1,000 career goals and Al-Nassr's remaining 2025-26 SPL fixtures, where each appearance now carries milestone weight. His 2026 contract status and any extension talks with Al-Nassr will shape how quickly he can chase the mark.
