What happened: Ed Werder pointed to Tampa Bay after Clarence Hill Jr. stated the Dallas Cowboys should not lose on Monday. Dallas dropped its Week 5 matchup against the Buccaneers before falling 23-13 at the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 18.

Why it matters: Two consecutive defeats have dropped the Cowboys to 12th in the conference standings ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Owner Jerry Jones indicated on Oct. 21 that the front office still plans to be a buyer despite the early-season defensive struggles.

By the numbers: Dallas holds a 2-4 record on a two-game losing streak after allowing 24 points and 419 total yards against Tampa Bay in Week 5.

What to watch: The Cowboys take the field Monday night with the Nov. 10 trade deadline approaching.
