What happened: Fabrizio Romano reports Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign Éderson for a €45m package with add-ons included. The deal is now in place, with the medical and formal steps still to follow. Éderson is set to sign a four-year contract plus an option year, as The Athletic reports.

Why it matters: The move adds to Manchester United's summer squad work as the club continues to reshape a roster that has faced public questions about its revival under its current rebuild. Closing the agreement early in the window gives United time to complete the medical and integrate the signing ahead of the 2026-27 season.

What to watch: Watch for the medical and official confirmation from both clubs to finalize the transfer.
