What happened: The Steelers restored the safety to the active roster after he logged a full Wednesday practice. He suited up in Paris alongside practice-squad receiver elevations Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson.

Why it matters: Getting Elliott back stabilizes the Pittsburgh secondary during the regular-season schedule after earlier defensive backfield absences. His availability gives coach Mike McCarthy another veteran defensive option entering division play.
