What happened: The Arizona Diamondbacks announced that Ryne Nelson will take the mound for their upcoming game. The start comes immediately after the Diamondbacks were shut out, failing to score a single run the previous night.

Why it matters: Arizona is looking to rebound quickly after being completely stifled by Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers in their last outing. Nelson's performance will be crucial as the team attempts to reset its momentum and jumpstart the offense.

What to watch: Observers will watch to see if Nelson can deliver a quality start and if the Diamondbacks' lineup can break its scoring drought.
