What happened: Maye released a one-yard touchdown pass on Dec. 21 and turned away before the catch was completed. The score followed a red-zone interception on the previous possession.

Why it matters: The touchdown helped produce a 10-10 halftime tie in a game carrying conference-positioning stakes. Maye's team ultimately lost, limiting the play's impact to a first-half response after his turnover.

What to watch: Maye's next test comes when the 2026 regular season opens Sept. 9.
