What happened: Philadelphia moved the second-year back off the active roster Friday. Shipley entered the league as the 127th pick in 2024 out of Clemson.

Why it matters: Philadelphia loses backfield depth during the 2026 regular season. The designation opens an active-roster spot while the team manages the position.

By the numbers: 2025 with Philadelphia: 14 carries for 49 yards in 15 games.

What to watch: Philadelphia's game-day rotation will show how the backfield absorbs the absence. A corresponding active-roster move will clarify depth plans.
